Mental Discipline
But if you don’t know your spiritual identity, then you’ll become engaged in a vicious and never-ending mental cycle. Anyone who’s done any personal development knows exactly what I’m talking about. You can be unbeatable for a day, a week, or a season, but a crash always comes. I’ve seen it over and over. In fact, I've never not seen it in anyone who didn't know their spiritual identity.
What am I even talking about with the spiritual identity thing? It's pretty simple. If you can unequivocally know who you are on a spiritual level, and if your spirit being is someone that has power and authority over everything that exists, then it gives you the capacity to become unstoppable in every other aspect of life.
We've all heard about spirit, soul & body. The mind is a part of the soul, and the soul is either influenced by the natural (body, physical senses) or the spiritual, whichever realm you choose to defer to. If you only know who you are in the natural realm, then you will be influenced by everything that you see, hear, smell, taste and touch. If your mind is focused in the natural, it will eventually succumb to culture, to media, to emotional or physical needs & desires. This isn’t subjective. It’s been proven countless times.
But if there is a greater spiritual reality, if it is true that we were created in the image of a God, and by a simple choice we can unite with the seed of heaven and take on a nature exactly like his, if it is true that we were actually made to be the most powerful created being, not by any self merit but because of intelligent design…then it really is just a matter of training our mind to live in this reality, isn’t it? The more we become conscious of this nature of God inside of us, the more every thought will line up to make us…inhumanly amazing or something.
Disclaimer: if you are believing a counterfeit spiritual narrative, you will know, because they have cycles just like toxic mental cycles, but far more destructive. The crash is inevitable, and the effect on ones identity can be just as devastating as believing the truth can be empowering.
Love, MJ
Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the sense and reason of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.
Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son!
Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!”
